24 Hours in Farming: Tell your story
24 Hours in Farming is back and this year, supported by Morrisons, it will be bigger and better than ever. From 5am on August 10 until 5am on August 11, we want everyone in UK agriculture to tell their story to show consumers just how much passion and commitment goes into producing the food they eat.
WHAT IS 24 HOURS IN FARMING?
This year’s event, which is run by FG Insight and supported by Morrisons, will begin at 5am on August 10, 2017 and anyone can take part, simply post on any social media platform (we will be checking Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Instagram) using the hashtag #Farm24.
Farmers Guardian editor Ben Briggs says: “Last year’s event had an audience reach of 112 million and trended in the top five on Twitter all day.
“UK agriculture has a fantastic story to tell and 24 Hours in Farming allows everyone to shout about the industry and why they are so proud to work within it. It has become the go-to event within agriculture’s social media calendar and we want as many people as possible to be involved again in 2017.”
TELL YOUR STORY
This year our aim is for 24 Hours in Farming to be seen by even more people. To do that we are urging farmers not just to take to social media on August 10, but to also get out and speak to the public about what they do. We are encouraging farmers and farming businesses to host an on-farm event, give a talk to a local group or perhaps even give an interview to a local newspaper or radio station – anything to highlight how hard-working and dedicated UK farmers are.
Please click on How to take part section for inspiration and support around taking part.
Whether you are a farm, agricultural business or farming organisation, please take a few moments to tell us what you will be doing on August 10, 2017 to take part in 24 Hours in Farming and we will help publicise it for you.
